Product Update: Advancing Visual Thinking
Scrintal’s team philosophy is “Iterate Fast and Release Often”. So every time we launch a new feature, we learn quickly and iterate.
This month we focused on extensive improvements.
⚒️ Performance Updates
We made performance updates, so text editor and boards are more responsive to any changes.
Why do our users love this improvement?
Simply because it enhances the experience. Now the app works smoother and faster, especially when there are many cards on the desk or board!
🧠 Desk and boards now remember where you left
Now users can go back to their desk or any board that they had been working on, and see exactly where they left off.
So let’s say there are 10 cards on a board and we zoomed into one of them. Then we go back to our desk. Next time we open that board, we’ll start from being zoomed into that card.
Why do our users love this improvement?
Because it keeps everyone in their flow! Sometimes we need to leave a task and switch to a different one. As Scrintal remembers where the user left off, the work gets more streamlined and they can continue working without major setbacks or distractions. Besides, they save valuable time and ideas!
🔎 Search in Cards:
We’ve released a search feature in cards. Users can search anything in cards now hitting “CMD+F” (or CTRL+F) while in a card.
Why do our users love this feature?
Especially if they are not so keen on taking atomic notes, cards tend to become longer. This new feature helps navigation in cards!
👀 See in which boards a card appears:
We added a new section at the bottom of the cards called Appears in. If a card appears in a board, the board’s name will be shown in that section.
Why do our users love this feature?
Locating cards in boards, and navigating across boards became so much easier. Under each card, users can expand the “Appears in” and “Links to boards” sections to quickly see the other cards on those boards as well!
In the background…
During this time, we have also been working on card snapping and alignment. We have been devoting some time to exploration, discovery and iterative testing.
As a joint effort, the Growth and Product team have been working on a self-serve onboarding which we are very much on track to ship in the next few weeks!
